More hours...

Ever wish there was more hours in a day? I feel like there's never enough time to fit it all in. Working 40+ hours a week with a 45 min commute (yes, I know a lot of people drive much further) doesn't help. My job is stressful and I'm so unhappy there. The hubs and I talked, I'll keep looking for a new job and try to make it at my current job until after the new year, but after that I'll either quit or cut my hours. I just can't do it anymore. It's stressful enough that it's starting to affect me physically, headaches, high blood pressure, I'm not sleeping well, and none of that is helpful in the baby department.

Speaking of baby department, we're on to cycle 2 of trying. I was a little bummed when AF showed up, but not much. We had a lot of fun trying ;) and I might have felt a little cheated if we only got to try one month LOL.

In other news...I'm finally excited for Christmas!! Every year all the shopping overwhelms me and I can never really enjoy the Christmas season until it's done. It's not even really the shopping, it's more trying to figure out what to get everyone. But, this last Saturday the hubs and I went on a marathon shopping spree and seven hours later we are done! Well, I am, he says he still has shopping for me to do :) He's hopefully taking this Friday off and he'll do his shopping in the morning and we'll get to leave nice and early for our long holiday weekend with our families.

Since I can't seem to keep up this blog I doubt I'll get back here until after the holidays. I hope you all have a very and Merry Christmas (if that's your thing) and an insanely happy New Year! Hopefully 2012 will bring us the next chapter in our lives :)

Score one for my body!

First cycle off birth control and my body may have actually remembered what to do...go figure :)

I've been temping and using FF, and according to that I ovulated (O'd) last Saturday. That means I'm 5 days past ovulation (DPO), I could test as early the 6th, but I'm going to wait until the 11th or 12th if AF doesn't show up before then. Thankfully I haven't caved and bought any tests yet, otherwise I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to wait LOL

For the record I never thought I'd be sharing this info w/ the interwebs, I'm hoping that I never end up having to regret keep the blog public and using real names and places. We'll find out won't we? Any other bloggers ever worry about your blogs being public (I guess that question only applies if you post personal info).

What I would like to do is when we eventually have kids is to share the blog w/ family and friends since we don't live close to them. It would be a way for them to keep up w/ what's happening on the other side of the mountains. But, I don't necessarily want them to be able to read the older posts. Is there a way to block older posts? I really don't want to make a new blog, that would be a hassle and I don't want to forget this blog I've been using it for over two years now and it has sentimental value (if that's possible w/ a blog).

Wow...this post took off in a totally different direction that I originally planned. Talk about ADD sheesh!

One last thought...I'm getting acupuncture for the first time tomorrow. I'm nervous, I hate needles, but I'm willing to suck it up if it helps my back pain and headaches. That's the end of the random thoughts...I apologize for the ridiculousness of this post

Fail

So much for posting more now that we're TTC!

Speaking of, nothing exciting going on there. Just waiting....and waiting ;)

We're supposed to get some snow over here. I'm not excited about driving in it, but I'm still anxiously awaiting it's arrival. I love it and hopefully it's enough to give everything that pretty dusting that makes you feel like a kid again...you know the snow that would make it feel like Christmas was just around the corner (which it is btw and I'm so not ready!). Not that I would really know what that felt like, because in the Pacific NW (the part I grew up in) you pretty much never get snow before Christmas...unless it was that one year where it looked like this

That happened days before Christmas and the entire Portland Metro area was shut down for about a week....because there, nobody knows how to handle snow and we all just freak out and watch 24/7 new coverage of "Arctic Blast '08" (I shit you not, that's what the storm was referred to as) My FIL (who works for an electric company and was working 18-20hrs a day then) has a shirt that says something like "I survived Arctic Blast '08" we're ridiculous up here. But, I love it and it's who we are. 1" snow=snow day and city shut down...how cool is that?

Now here in Bend, I don't think they roll that way. It's always cold in the winter, but snow varies a ton. It's more common here though so we'll see what happens. Maybe one day I'll watch the people freaking out in Portland and laugh because I'll have become a snow pro...lol

If I don't make it back before next Thursday: Have a very happy Thanksgiving! We're having pulled pork :)

CD (cycle day) 2

Now we can get this show on the road...well in a few days anyway :)
